Lutung kasarung

 Purbarang and purbasari were princesses from a kingdom in west java. they were sister but have different characters. Purbarang was arrogant and lazy. In contrast, purbasari was friendly and dilligent

Purbasari never consider herself as the king's daugter. she befriend with everyone, even with commoners. no wonder, many people loved her. And prabu tapa, her father,was aware of this. 

When Prabu got older, he gave up his throne to Purbasari, but Purbarang didn't want Purbasari to hold the Prabu throne. His father also said to Purbarang that Purbasari was much liked by his people because Purbasari was very friendly to his people.

Purbasari ruled wisely and she inherited all the gentleness of her father and Purbarang was very annoyed with Purbasari, because Purbarang had not yet accepted that Purbasari would become queen.

and one day Purbasari got an illness which gave off pus and a bad smell and that's where Purbasari was exiled and taken to the forest. She had a hut made for her to live in. Purbasari started spending her days in the forest. The next day Purbasari was picking flowers. suddenly he was surprised by a monkey and he was carrying a mango, Purbasari was very happy, now he has a friend even though it's just a monkey who can't talk but the monkey always hears Purbasari's complaints and the monkey takes Purbasari to a lake that is fragrant and clear Purbasari washed herself using the flowers given by the monkey. Miraculously, Purbasari's illness was cured and she was very happy because her illness was cured. She planned to return to the palace but she saw her older brother (Purbarang) with a handsome man, Purbasari was boasting. Because she already had a husband and she was racking her brains so that Purbasari wouldn't return to the palace, but Purbarang made a condition, namely that she had to have longer hair, so it turned out that Purbasari was the winner and she was given another word if Purbarang was already Indrajaya's mother/husband and he was very handsome, and if Purbasari has a future husband who is more handsome than Indrajaya she can go home to the palace, but Purbasara doesn't have a future husband but the monkey wants to be her future husband and Purbasari wants to and suddenly the monkey turns into a very handsome man from Indrajaya and Purbarang takes him Purbasari went to the palace and the monkey who became a handsome man proposed to Purbasari and they lived happily in Iatan.
